お庭で遊んでいた猫が、ふっと何かを見つけました。
そこにいたのは、一匹のカマキリ。
猫は顔を近づけて、じーっと覗き込みます。
「お前は何だ？」
鋭い視線で睨まれて、カマキリは思わずフリーズ！
絶体絶命のピンチに、カマキリがとった行動は……
「あ、そうだ。無かったことにしよう」
そっと上を向いて、しらばっくれ作戦に出たのです。
「おかまいなく。私は、ただの葉っぱですよ……」と。
そんな、お庭で繰り広げられた小さくて可笑しな命のやり取りを、
春の花々に囲まれた温かな風景として描きました。
猫の純粋な問いかけと、カマキリの必死な「とぼけ顔」。
二匹の間に流れる、ちょっぴりシュールで優しい空気を感じていただけたら嬉しいです。

Facing this desperate situation, the mantis decided on a surprising tactic…
“Oh, I know. Let’s just pretend this isn’t happening.”
It looked up at the sky, trying its best to play it cool and act as if no one was there. Or perhaps it was desperately telling itself, “I am a leaf… I am just a leaf…”
I captured this small, humorous encounter in the garden, surrounded by the warmth of spring flowers. The cat’s pure curiosity and the mantis’s comical “playing innocent” face. I
